Bartending in the big city: Top 40 profile of Cody Pollard
Being from Nelson, Cody Pollard describes his move to Kelowna four years ago as "a break for the big city." "Truth be told, I was lured here by the exploding wine and beer scene," said the 27-year-old. "If you work in the drinks industry, like I do, it's the place to be." As such, Pollard has two jobs. He's the Interior sales representative for Vancouver's Two Wolves Brewing, which makes an Arctic Blonde Ale and a Great Plains Brown Ale. And he's started his own business, Fermented Dining. "It's an elevated bartending service for weddings, corporate and charity events, parties, staff appreciation events and mobile happy hours," said Pollard.
